Undergraduate researchers publish in PLOS ONE

publications · multilingualism · creativity

Congratulations to Kendra V. Lange and Elise Hopman, whose paper with Jeff Zemla and Joe — Evidence against a relation between bilingualism and creativity — appeared in PLOS ONE.

The claim that speaking two languages makes you more creative is popular and, on this evidence, not well supported. The paper is an extended version of Kendra’s undergraduate honors thesis in the lab — one of two journal articles published that year with undergraduate research assistants as co-authors.
