Sabbatical collaboration at RIKEN AIP

During his 2022–2023 sabbatical from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Joe spent time as a visiting researcher at the RIKEN Advanced Intelligence Project in Tokyo, and gave a talk on Human and Machine Learning.

The visit was a chance to work closely with colleagues at RIKEN on computational approaches to how people and machines learn — the kind of international collaboration a sabbatical is for.
