Optimal semantic search throughout adulthood

Evidence for optimal semantic search throughout adulthood, led by Jeff Zemla with Diane Gooding, appeared in Scientific Reports.

Foraging models say a good searcher should exploit a patch until it thins out, then move on. The finding here is that people do this near-optimally when searching memory — and keep doing it across the adult lifespan, even as the memory being searched changes.
