The School of Design & Science opens

The School of Design & Science opened its doors in April 2026: Chiba Tech’s first English-language graduate program, offering Master’s and PhD degrees on the Tsudanuma campus, and the academic arm of the Henkaku Center.

SDS is deliberately antidisciplinary — a program for people who would rather intervene at the level of paradigms than work neatly within one. Joe is a co-founder of the school and serves as its academic director; this lab is part of it.
